RM1.50 billion Sukuk Murabahah Issuance By Prasarana With An Over-Subscription Rate Of Approximately 1.9x

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) has successfully made another issuance of RM1.50 billion in nominal value of Sukuk Murabahah recently under its RM10.0 billion Sukuk Murabahah Programme (Sukuk Programme), marking this as the third issuance for Prasarana in 2020. Similar to the past 2 issuances, this Sukuk Programme is irrevocably and unconditionally guaranteed by the Government of Malaysia.

Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad played a significant role in the book-building process and was instrumental for the process of this transaction which was closed on 1 July 2020. This issuance was oversubscribed by 1.9 times.

Proceeds from the issuance will be utilised to finance, amongst others, the construction costs and working capital requirements in connection with the Light Rail Transit Line 3.

The issuance comprises THREE (3) tranches as shown below;
