Prasarana Malaysia Berhad successfully issued Sukuk Murabahah of RM1.50 billion in nominal value

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) has successfully issued Sukuk Murabahah of RM1.50 billion in nominal value on 30 January 2023 under its existing RM17.0 billion Sukuk Murabahah Programme (Sukuk Programme). The Sukuk Programme is irrevocably and unconditionally guaranteed by the Government of Malaysia.

Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad as the Joint Lead Manager, played a major role in the book-building exercise that was closed earlier which was oversubscribed by approximately 1.86 times.

The proceeds from the issuance will be utilised to finance, amongst others, capital expenditure and/or working capital of Prasarana.

The issuance under the Sukuk Programme comprises of six (6) tranches as shown in the table below:
